These terms are provided in English and Khmer. If the two ever disagree, the English version is the one that applies.
Khmeng (khmeng.com) is a free app that teaches English to Khmer speakers. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Anyone can use Khmeng. If you are a child, please use it with the permission of a parent or guardian.
You can use Khmeng as a guest, or with an account (a username and password, or by signing in with Facebook, Google or Telegram). Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete your account at any time from the bottom of any page.
Please do not try to break or overload the app, or get around its limits. Please do not use it to make or share harmful, hateful, sexual or illegal content, or to ask for lessons that are not suitable for children. Please do not copy its lessons or data in bulk, or pretend to be someone else. We may remove content, limit an account or close it if these rules are broken.
The lesson maker uses artificial intelligence to write lessons for you. We may check what you ask for and refuse requests that are not suitable. You are responsible for what you ask for. The lessons are for your own learning.
The lessons, translations, pictures, sound guides and sounds are made with the help of computers, and they may contain mistakes. Khmeng helps you learn, but it does not replace a teacher. Please check anything important yourself.
Photos come from Unsplash and belong to their photographers, who are credited. They are used under Unsplash's license.
Coins, points, streaks and items in the app have no real-world value. They cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for money, and we may change or reset them.
The app, its lessons and its design belong to Khmeng. You may use them for your own learning. Please do not copy or resell them.
Khmeng is free and is provided as it is. We cannot promise that it will always work or be free of mistakes, and we may change or stop parts of it. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses from using it.
If we change these terms, we will update the date above. If the change is significant, we will say so in the app. Using Khmeng after a change means you accept the new terms.
If you sign in with Google, we ask Google only for your name and an ID number (the basic "openid" and "profile" permissions). We do not receive your email address, contacts, files or anything else. We use your name and ID only to create your Khmeng account and sign you in. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone. Khmeng's use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
